Creative Writing and Poetry Appreciation/Analysis
"Amelia's First Ski Run" by Nora Marks Dauenhauer

 

This activity was designed to support my 7th-grade Language Arts students in generating creative pieces and encountering a model text. 

 

The theme of this slide deck is simple and streamlined to be more universal for diverse learners and less taxing on visual and mental load; the emphasis is on links to enrichments,  clear, step-by-step ideas for writing, and prompts for in-person discussions. Students were able to access these slides in real time on their own device or follow along with a classroom projection.
